I'm looking to get some professional quality images printed and am not only unsure on where to get great prints, I'm compleatly lost on the paper types, (I have used tesco and blurb before for my personal snaps and never thought about paper quality before now.)

The batch of images I want to get printed will be used for my portfolio and maybe some canvas/framed images to sell, so I am looking for a professional finish. Any affordable suggestions?
Also I unsure on going for a matt or gloss finish? Or even metallic? As I've been online looking I come across a few others like textile print, high gloss, b&w paper. Does it all depend on the image or how you want to present it?

This seems more confusing that actully learning to use my DSLR!!..:bonk:
