Just bought a Maxtor External USB HDD.

Formatted it to 3 partitions.
I'm looking for a simple and free program I can use to password protect it.

I already have true crypt but I want a simpler prog.

To be honest TrueCrypt is (pardon the pun) the monkeys nuts - OK a slight variation there :)

If you are having problems setting it up let me know and I'll help you out.

Thanks for your offer, I have no problems with it.
I partitioned (x3) my hdd and encrypted 2 whole partitions.

My only worry is I am not the only one using the PC.
If someone tries to access the encryted drive (which is not mounted yet)via "My Computer", a pop up appears asking to format the drive, which is dangerous.

I think I'll just disconnect the usb cable.

Ive been using this software for almost a year now. Use it to encrypt my usb sticks.

I think its the best free software out there.
