Protection Filter UV?

Thinking I need a lens protection filter for my 300f4IS

Hoya 77mm UV Pro 1 Digital Filter appears to have a good reputation

Just found this hoya-77mm-shmc-pro-1-digital-protector :shrug:

Any recomendations would be appreciated and any make to avoid

worms & a can spring to mind - most will say just use the lens hood - but if you want the piece of mind of a protector filter then go fior the HD version - Amazon have them - Hoya 77mm HD protector filter cheaper at £48.67

Then again its your money (I have Nikon NC filters fitted to my lens's for my piece of mind & not anyone elses)

Avoid anything from the bay, as prob a fake...
