This guy came at me when I was trying to photograph his friend. It flew over my head with about a two feet gap. Needless to say I missed the closer shot!

You could make this shot better if you can clone out the 3 round objects ( Orange / white / Yellow )

Also a shame the wing tips are clipped , nice capture (y)
 
Thanks for the comments Allen. I will have a go with the cloning tool now.

I agree about the wing tips. However, I was taking a picture of another bird on the ground as this thing came in at high speed. No time to frame it!

I also got a good shot of its belly with no wings etc lol.
 
They look a lot bigger when they are flying for your head!
Nice reflex capture!
Also, I agree about the cloning of the buoys.
 
Nice shot a mate of mine had a gannet hit him in the side of the head so you were lucky
