I moved to france about two months ago, and have been doing some exploring of the local area for photography, i was wondering whether any other users had any advice for areas to explore. I am based in Sospel, about 18km from Menton on the italian border. I have made some trips into the mercantour national park, along the cote d'azur as far as St Tropez, across to italy as far as San Remo, and up into the alps. I am wanting to visit provence soon, and will probably stay in Avignon, and also have a trip planned to the Var.
I really want to get to provence for the lavender blooming, but have found conflicting information on when this is on google.
If anyone has any good spots in the area, it would be great to hear some recomendations. I have also looked at Cinque Terre in italy, on the back of seeing a great shot on here, and will make a trip there in the future.
