Depending on the camera and how it handles high ISO, crank the ISO up.
Also lock the WB, AWB will be constantly hunting in that variable lighting.

To my eyes, the coloud shots are under exposed.

Maybe tickle with a little flash? Not enough to obliterate the lighting.
 
What camera/lens set up were you using? For pub setting generally there's little lighting available so will always be difficult.
I've found you need a 'fast lens' and are always looking for light when shooting live music.
