Puffins at Farne

Finally managed to get to the Farne Islands this year. Managed to get these of the puffins. Great place to visit (although a hat is advisable as the Terns enjoy diving at your heads and painting you white)

All C&C welcome, a lot of these have been cropped as I just not fast enough panning when really zoomed in with the lens

a lot of the time the Puffins would wait with a mouthful of sand eels until the route to their burrow was clear of gulls, who would mob them and steal the catch

Thanks guys, yep they are very fast, esp when they are dodging the gulls. Can only get them whilst panning, head on the auto focus has got no chance. I wont say how many shots I took vs results ;-)

Great set Chris, BTW you dont need a hat, just stand next to a tall person.
