Yes
Put a couple of feeders up for the birds yesterday along with some fat balls and managed to get out and take a few snaps today, not the best of light but I had to try.....

Ok nothing brilliant but first time I've tried with the feeders up this year, unfortunately I was back in the house by the time the Long Tailed Tits appeared, but I will try and get back out AND improve on these shots ONCE/IF we get some sunshine.

Mike.

crikey those are good!
what glass did you use?
they're all pin sharp too- excellent stuff
good luck with the long tails - they're quick when they get moving!

oh and where do you hide to get these?

Well if that's bad light I hope it coming my way, great set Mike (y)

Cracking shots there Mike, even if the light was a bit off.

Hope you had a good time in Rhodes too.

Hi,

I used the 100-400L IS with IS off and tripod mounted in the hide I bought from Doug Darter on these forums. Yeah need to be fast with any of the small birds, glad you like the shots.

Yeah light was poor to fair with the odd bit of sun for a few mins, will hopefully get better once the frosty morns kick in. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks Chris,

had a superb time in Rhodes, thanks, plan to go back to same place again next year, mind and send me a remender to post that camera on the 24th as my memory is crap and don't want to let you down. Glad you like the pics.

See ya

Mike.

Lovely shots, especially for a first go.
I really cant believe you only put the fatballs up yesterday... and they got this much attention today .... so not fair. ;)

shuffles off sulking.

Wow Mike, really clear pics, thanks for posting.

I put my feeders up a week ago and here's my results...

I put my feeders up 3 months ago heres my results also (insert tumble weed here)

Great pics there m8 i am hoping that the colder weather will start bringing the birds in as food becomes less easy to get
