Hi Im a forum regular and have always uploaded my images for review from flickr however with flickrs new interface I cant seem to copy and paste the url bit in correctly and end up with either text in my post or an image with an x in it where the image should be...

Im assuming I go to my image on flick click share this and click get html select size from the drop down box copy all, open my thread in talk tog click the add image button (mountain and moon thingy) hit paste and that should be it but its not working.
can any one tell me what im doing wrong please?

you have to go to the size you want, 640x, view that size and then copy the img URL by right clicking and copying it

i suspect flickrs bandwidth bill is a little on the high side so they are doing what they can to dissuade people from hotlinking without actually stopping it completely
 
It's long winded and there is probably a better way, but what I do is:

1. Select your photo from the "you " page in Flickr
2. Click on the image to magnify it (Black background)
3. Top right, view all sizes
4. Select the size you want
5. right click on the link above the image that says " Download the XYZ Size..."
6. Select copy
7. Go to your TalkPhoto thread
8. Paste into the edit box, "http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4139/4813227181_b66aa13ea1_z_d.jpg"
9. Add
after the link.

There's probably a faster way but I haven't found it yet. HTH

ok it now shows up but iv posted it twice and didn't check my sizing.... sorry admin please remove them as i still don't know how to delete a thread!
 
You can right click on the main image and it'll come up with "View available sizes: Medium 500 • Medium 640 • Large" and then it'll take you straight to the size you want, then you just right click and "copy image link/url/etc".

edit: you can get rid of the image by going to "edit" below your post :) nice photo by the way!!!
