Yes
Just been on Amazon, about to add another 2/3 exhdd to my line up, to join my current WD Passport, and my Lacie desktop.

Searching through there's a much cheaper, but otherwise - capability wise - exact same to the passport drive, called 'Elite'

Can anyone shed some light to me what the differences are, and which one is 'better' [500gb capacity for this specific]

My idea was to get 1/2 500gb and a 1tb. I'm getting the passport SE 1tb, and was gonna get 2 other passport 500gb to join it but now wondering if I'm better off spending that little bit less money?

They do need to be portable drives, I should add - and preferably portable enough[like my current wd drive] that whilst I sit on a sofa/at a desk etc. the drive can stay attached but easily rest on the laptop/surface it's on or next to. So the smaller the better but I don't think the Elite is a large drive by the sounds?

Amazon has most drives on offer atm. But the Elite isn't discounted yet is only £75 with them, whilst the passport is a good £10/20 more expensive?
I was just wondering if anyonew knew what was better i.e make the most of the cheaper[even though the std passport is also discounted, but more expensive than elite] and order it, or if the passport is indeed better and to just stick with that?

e.g
Passport:

Elite:

Cheers.
Which one would you got for? I'm tempted to, stupidly, stick with the std passport as I've got one already and know exactly what I can do with it etc..?
