Q Strap with a Sigma 50-500 OS?

Hi,

Has anyone tried using the Q Strap as sold on these very forums - here - with a Sigma 50-500 OS using the bar in the tripod mount?

I asked the seller but they've not been back on the forum yet and may not know the way it works with this lens.

I have my strap connected to my Sigma 150-500 OS and my Canon 100-400 L as they are both very heavy lenses and the balance seems better on the strap. For my other lenses with tripod mounts I connect to the camera.

I tried one too both with the 50-500 and the 100-400 and they work great.
Do not feel the weight even during long hikes.

Excellent, I thought these looked good - how are you guys attaching yours - to the screw mount on the foot or using the clip to attach directly to the little bar at the back of the foot where the Sigma strap fits through?

Cheers - I got a reply in the other thread and they suggested the D ring as well, but I'm not sure myself - do you guys use that or just the L plate that comes with it as I think that looks a lot safer, plus with the through for tri/monopod seems more sensible too.

I use the plate that came with it as you can adjust it for perfect balancing
