Quality lightweight tripod

A friend of mine has asked for the following...

"It's for a flip cam - I am 168cm. I want it to be as light as possible. And as small. I used to have a benbo - that's way overkill for what I want. I want something small and suitable for carrying around the world with lots of other stuff. So light is good. I like good kit as quality lasts."

Any ideas?

I have recently bought a 3LT X1.a Adrian. The tripod and head way about 1.7kg and it goes well above my eye level and I'm 6ft. The leg detaches to make a monopod which is usable for me and it allows weight up to 8kg so is really stable!

p.s the AH2 head is the best ball head I have used so far

This is for a flip video camera? I use mine with a gorillapod a lot of the time. Otherwise it's a Slik Pro 614CF Tripod - the lightest, flimsiest tripod I own.
