question about emails

Yes
I have an email address through my website so it reads info@blahblah.co.uk. The email system however is pretty gash for space, signatures, attachments etc. So i thought i would try something like outlook which works fine when i am at home but invariably find myself away alot and have to reply and read emails through my website log in. My question is can I retain my info@blahblah.co.uk email but have it go through an email system like hotmail? So I can read and respond to emails on any computer anywhere and not log in throgh my site?

hope that makes sense

thanks in advance

dave

Have a look at your domain email settings for "forwarding" which will let you have the email sent to another email address automatically - hook that up to your hotmail and you're sorted

I would suggest looking at google apps for domains, gives you a gmail like interface for emails etc, multiple address, and a ton of other features.
Its free to (well, a few ads here & there)

You should be able to set up a pop3 through your web hosting, so that you can indeed use Outlook or equivalent! If you have a look at your email accounts page, there is usually a small section at the bottom asking if you'd like to set up an email client :)

Another vote for Google Apps here, I'm in the process of moving all my mail accounts to it. It will work like a normal IMAP account, so fine with Apple Mail, Outlook, iPhone etc but a much better web interface if needed and much more space than my host can offer.

the only problem with forwarding to hotmail would be when replying it wont come up with the correct email address and look quite cheap to customers etc.

speak to your ISP, some do have a web interface for mail.
