question about metering...

A few people yesterday mentioned metering (evaluative/partial/spot?)

Would one of you kin people be able to give a summary of each and an example of conditions when each would come into it's own and when would be a good idea to use each. So far I've never move of the two brackets with the dot in the middle (evaluative?).

Hi Ryan, try reading these, I'd have a go at explaining but these webpages will prbably do a much better job.

I usually leave it on evaluative, but use spot if the lighting might fool the camera or I want to be fully in control. I never use partial.
