Question about Outlook

Could somebody please explain how to configure Outlook. As an example, if I wanted to contact somebody via their website and click on that persons e-mail link I get outlook pop up. After filling in the form I click send, what happens is Outlook shuts down, when I open up Outlook again the e-mail is in my folder ready to be sent, so I then have to click on send and recieve to send that e-mail off. I would just like it so when I click send in the first instance it does it.

Try :-

Tools -> Option -> Mail Setup

tick "send immediately when connected"

then

Send/Receive

tick "perform automatic send/receive when exiting"

Did that work? It can vary what email service you use - if you use online email such as Hotmail or your own domain email through IMAP & POP.
