Question about play button on the Canon 7D

Hi all,

I have been looking at a couple of decent priced 7D bodies and noticed in the description that the play button is either misaligned or pushed slightly inwards, but bares no limitation to usage of the camera. I was wondering if anyone here has come across the same issue on the 7D and if they have got it repaired or not.

I have a heavily used 7D, the play button is straight and level with the rest of the buttons.

Thanks for the reply as I wasn't sure if it was a design flaw or not

Unless it's a very good price, compared to what would be described as a "perfect" body, then personally I would leave it - it may well not have any impact on the camera at the moment, but ...

That is what I was thinking, it's surprising on the various defects on used cameras, from the play button misaligned, right through to the audio chip giving nothing but white noise on playback
