Beginner Question on Telescope

Could someone explain this reply from a shop( Very few telescopes will illuminate a full sensor camera I'm afraid) I’m interested in a new Telescope to do photography with at the moment I have a 8inch dobsonian not tracking option any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried asking the person who made the reply what they meant?

Seems to be the obvious thing to do

As I understand it it's all about vignetting. Worst case you might have to crop the image down to get rid of it (and end up with the equivalent FOV of a crop sensor), best case you may find it's acceptable. I think some of the top end scopes are fitted with field flatteners which help, but don't quote me on that - I'm no expert. You could pick up an old (and cheap) crop sensor camera and dedicate it to astro.
