Question

Hi F&C people. Just bought a yellow filter and some Ilford XP2 400 ASA
Question is: As in the photo you can see I'v put the filter on the take through lens and the hood obviously doesn't now mount it. So would it make no sense in using the hood on the focusing lens and also do I need to overexpose with the filter and if so by how much?

For a yellow filter it's about 1/3rd of a stop, hardly worth bothering with to be honest
