I was doing some off camera flash shooting last night using CLS with my D700 and 2 speedlights. I am fine with the basics of using CLS but what I found frustrating last night was the fact that it was 6 button presses to get in to the right menu to make power adjustments to each of the flashes.

What I was wondering is whether there is a quicker way to access the CLS menu. Is it possible to make it a custom button somewhere.

This is the menu I want to get to as quick and easy as possible:

Can you add that to your "My Menu" shortcut ?

That is where I put all the stuff I need to get to on a regular basis

I don't have my camera with me at the moment so I can't try it. Is it possible to set it so you can go direct in to the above screen with 1 or 2 button presses?

Yes

Go to MY MENU > scroll down to Add Items > scroll down to Custom Setting Menu > scroll down to e Bracketing/Flash > scroll down to e3 > scroll down to Commander Mode and 'check it' OK.

This will add the Commander Mode to your MY MENU screen

I have assigned it to the function button, one press and Im there.
Can't give you a run down on how to do it as I don't have the cam on me.

Put the item into MY MENU as my instructions above, this will put it 1st in the list, then go to 'f5' assign function button, scroll down until you get to access top item in MY MENU
