Quick D90 Question ?

Its probably a daft question but that aspect ratio is a D90's photos ?

I thought they where 2 to 3 but when I use that in a crop I seem to have a tiny sliver left over as if that ratio is a tiny bit out. I am using adobe bridge on a RAW file

Should be 3:2 except in video.

Google tells me the D90 shoots stills at 4288x2848 pixels = 1.5056:1 or 3.0112:2.

Yeah I thought it was 2 to 3 but there is a small sliver left out when cropping on bridge

How small and on what axis? The calculation above shows it's about 0.4% longer than 3:2

Sorry not had chance to get back to reply...

The area left over is very small just a few pixels (about 10 pixels) and it was on portrait in this instance but I would think it would be no different landscape. It small I am just worried its totally wrong aspect and when I sell my work on Zenfolio for example they wont fit the frame size correctly

Sounds about right. 2848 at 3:2 would give a long axis of 4,272. Your D90 has 16 extra pixels on the long axis.

Ahh right.... thank you

I have actually just put the pixel measurements as a custom crop size into RAW and it works fine
