having not used a d60 for 4 motnhs (sold mine after a month due to offer of a 20d for cheap) i'm not familiar with the kind of settings i need.

i'm shooting a lorry doing 10mph, although the motion doesn't need to be shown.

it's a d60 with nikkor 70-300mm af-s f/4.5-5.6 G lens.

should i be using something like the following:

AF-C focus mode (very basic press type shots)
Closest subject AF-area mode
matrix metering
shutter priority with manual ISO (that's my preference)

I know it's all a bit last minute
My 20d has been playing up of late and i can't afford to miss these shots, hence borrowing a d60 as a back up set up. I don't plan on using it, just want it incase my 20d fails, can't afford to be missing these shots

(goes to find best price on 40d to put 20d in for repair and keep as 2nd body)

sorry if this seems a bit amateurish, i only started togging for fun but i keep getting asked to do this and that (which i'm not complaining about)

off to bed for 5am start but will check here first.

all help (with the nikon) really really appreciated

Cheers
Charlie

will get my banker shots at as high a shutter as iso 200 and the available light (no flash gun for nikon) allows, on the 20d i have a 420ex, 24-135 2.8-4.5 and 15-30mm.

once the bankers are in i'll start to play and look at something around 1/15th to show a bit of side on motion (i only mainly shoot motorsports, and clay pidgeon (not with camera's) so panning is soemthing i understand but still could do with more practice.

iv'e recce'd the route, picked my spots and really thought about composition.

it's a lorry carrying the largest load ever seen through the county, 2 lorries with HUUUUUUUUUUUGE cider vats, the main road from stroud to gloucester is effectively shut and anyone who attempts to overtake the lorries will be done for dangerous driving!! seriously wiiiiide load

thanks for the confirmation on the settings
