Quick home made lens caps?

Has anyone got any ideas for a quick idea on using as lens caps? Got a photo shoot and i sent my lens caps i had with my old camera to its new owner so therefore without lens cap for the body its self and lens.

Canon 1000D and 28-80mm lens if that helps on ideas.

Was going to post within the classifieds to get some but been banned from posting there for not stating i sold my camera else where as i forgot to update it.

Have a look on ebay, you should find what you're looking for here 250958268957 or 380397968762, 280622456103 and 300552208433 should be what you're looking for I think, and not too expensive either. I'd rather not just make do and risk any damage to the lens or dust in the camera.

Keep a lens on the camera and use a uv filter on the lens if ur desperate..

Or just a bit of cloth (make sure it's not one that will leave debris all over your lens) with a rubber band to keep it in place.

got body cap and lens cap off ebay , nice and cheap, and the lens cap has a hole to tie a string to it , so you can't drop it down the nearest drain hole.
