Quick Memory Card Question

I am using a Nikon D40 with either a Scandisk 4GB or Scandisk 2GB memory card

I went out at the weekend and took about 75 pics of randome stuff,
But getting the pics back to my laptop and viewing them in Adobe Lightroom, I have found avout 25% of them are not working correctly,

The error I receive in Lightroom is "an unexpected end of file error accoured"

I only seem to get this when shooting in Raw :shrug::shrug:

is this the SD cards ir something i'm doing wrong?

Any advice

Is it both cards its happening with? Sound like possibly the cards are dying and screwing the files

Are they "Scandisk" or Sandisk? Did you buy them in a shop or off eBay? eBay is full of fake cards that have a smaller capacity than they state which can easily result in a corrupted file.

Try formatting the card in your camera (I can't remember if my D40 had this, but its usually press and hold the two buttons with a red format label next to them) , then take 50-100 test shots. Import them again and see if they're still corrupted.
