Are there any speed/performance differences between say four 512 Ram modules and two 1G modules.

Also can I have two 512 and two 1G in the four slots on my motherboard or do they all have to match??

depends on the mobo.

It should work.

there shouldn't be any difference IF the modules are all rated at the same speed.
