Quick question for owners of Nikon 400mm f/2.8 VR

If you have your lens to hand, please could you measure it and let me know how long it is?

I need to know the overall length as the lens would be packed in its case, i.e. with the rear lens cap, hood reversed onto the lens, and the leather cap thingy covering the hood. You'll probably find it easier to measure standing upright with the rear cap at the top.

I was hoping that it would fit into the flight case that I had made for my non-VR version of the lens. But it seems that the VR version is quite a bit longer. Oh well.
