Hi all, i have used the quick strap for a couple of years im on my 2nd one as the first used different clasps and my wife brought me a new one, well i have been using this for less than a year i have the dual version which one side does get used more than the other as they do come apart for single use,
Yesterday i went to castle coombe armed with my d300 and siggy 50-500mm os on one side and my d700 and 28-70mm f2.8 on other side, whilst waliking around my d700 was on my right side and all of a sudden i felt it drop slightly(new something was wrong) looked down to see the caribinar had come of of the mount, lucky the first thing i did when i brought the strap was to put a keyring through both for security (and it paid off) as if this was not done the camera and lens would of hit the floor(who nos what damage might of been done) i put it back in but it kept falling out so just for security i got out my key and used another keyring and put that around the strap and caribiner.
heres a pic so people can see and keep an eye on theres.

Off to make emergency alterations to mine and maybe look up an alternative.

Depends, they may use a better quality metal.

Thanks for the heads up on a potential issue.
The shape of the metal is different on mine, but I've put the keyring on as a safety device anyway.

may do you might be right but my friend has one and it dont look no different, but i will still buy another:D i got insurance.
