Quick Web test, does this work?

Technically it works but it looks naff. What used to look very professional now looks rather tacky.
 
The first page with the unusual HTML/Flash option is a bit gimmicky, and this page is also slightly confusing on first impression with the reflected non-functioning images.

1. Why not have a panel on the left with the page selection link options in text? Much simpler and self-explanatory.

2. On the gallery pages with thumbnails, why not have a panel with a text description of what the images contain?

3. In general, the (somewhat dated) black background style is to me very wasteful of screen space. But then I am a technical designer and the screens which I have designed are used heavily, rather than the leisurely use to which these will be put.

both sites work but the layout is poorly constructed and it's really hard to red the text
 
The Splash page needs to go. You need to choose which site the user is directed to first then offer the alternative as a small link at the bottom in the footer somewhere. You don't want people to think that one option offers an inferior experience to the other option.

You should look at a little tool called swfObject. If Flash isn't available to a user it'll automatically use the HTML version. That's a nice seamless way of doing things.
 
I think the 3 images on each side to be spaced out a bit more to be level with the ones in the middle. But bare in mind all spacing of the whole thing should be equal as it is esthetically more pleasing to the eye. As for reflections, not my cup of tea but if I had to do it they would fade out quicker (ie: you wouldn't see as far as the fox)....
