Can anyone recommend a wireless RADIO remote release for the D300? Will it also suit the D700. Finding difficulty locating one so where would be the best place to buy? merv:thinking:

I had a Phottix Cleon wireless remote which can apparently be fired from upto 100m away. Not that I would have been 100m away from my camera.:lol:

Seriously, I found it excellent. I got it off Ebay from a seller called etefore. If/when I get my new camera, I will be buying another one, although I see there is a Phottix Cleon II and also a Phottix Plato which is the newest version.

They can be used wireless and wired.

I use a plato and can confirm the 100m range. They are shipped with specific leads so if the connector is the same on the D300 and D700 then you're sorted.

Got mine from ebay (had a few things from the company now) with good success.

I've got a plato and it seems to work well, it seems to be the very latest in the phottix range. It's interchangeable between camera brands, the Nikon attachment works for the Dxxx and Dx range. I bought 2 by accident so one will be going on the classifieds this week.

I use a Hama one that came from MyMemory via Amazon's marketplace. Works fine on a D700 and did the same on the D200. IIRC it was about £17 or so, delivered.

Flash in the pan does one. You could buy the full radio triggers as they also work as camera triggers on the D300 and D700.
