RAF Lossiemouth CQWI & JW exercise

Few images from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland whilst the CQWI & Joint Warrior exercises were held. Two days off and one day on pase gave ample opportunity to get some different angles etc..

Its a fantastic base for photography, there is talk about a rather large fence going up at some point so best to get up there whilst you can!

#1 for me - love how the fuel vapours affect the background giving it a sense of energy. Also like the sky colour and positioning of aircraft in the frame. Cracking set.

Fingers crossed all though some of the traffic was for the CQWI ex. I think JW 13-1 the fighters will be based at Leuchars so may not have to travel to the ends of the earth this time!!

All excellent, the only thing that bugged me a bit and drew my eye away was the boxy shape on the left horizon on #4
