I need something to protect my D300 from rain or wet conditions. I was checking few things online, but it all seems a bit not very practical if you have to take photographs. Anyone has any experience or can advise for a particular model?
Thanks!

I use the Kata E-702 with my D700 and 70-200 f2.8 Lens attached, just remember to leave the vents open, otherwise it will fog up if you have damp hands.

Hi,

There are several kinds out there, here is a link to one of the cheaper ones and it looks quite good (although i have never actually used this kind)

I actually made my own by going into a camping/outdoor shop and buying a drybag/stuffsac, then i just cut a hole out for the lens to poke through then cut a small hole for the eye piece and place the eye piece over the top of it, you can even cut a small hole in the bottom for a tripod mount.

Depending on the size of the bag it can be quite tight to get your hands in so the bigger the bag the better, the good thing with the kind in the link above is that they have a drawstring aroung the lens to keep it snug, on my one i just used the lens hood to keep it in place.

EDIT... too slow at typing :p

I have a couple of different sized CamoMacs for wildlife and birding, very happy with them.

Just give them the sizes they ask for and they'll make a cover for your particular camera and lens combo.
