We are going to be in a warmer climate over the xmas period.
One of the things we plan on doing is a Camel trek with a guide.
As there will be sand (miles of the bloody stuff), I'm wondering is some sort of dust protection for the camera would be a good idea?
If so, any suggestions you have would be appreciated.

Personally /I would/ use a UV filter in a sandy environment.

I bought some optech rain sleeves for my camera. They fit nicely, although I haven't had to use one in anger yet.
Was around £5 for two. They have a drawstring to fit snugly to your lens front.

Our camera covers will cover the lens and the body, will help to keep dust/sand/rain and crap out for you.

Available in black or camo.

So will ours LoL

Thanks for the advice guys, I will look at all the options.

I've opted for the Optech covers.
Pack of 2 so I can let my stepdaughters hubby use one as well.

as a quick cheap effect, i have a shower cap in the bag. (pink mind')

I admire your creative thinking but a pink shower cap used as a rain cover just isn't for me :D
