Superb shot! What did you use for the source of the smoke?

Thank you!
Smoke source was a burning incense stick.

That is brilliant (y) the colours are simply excellent   with nice sharp smoke and a clean background (y)

Cheers Matt,
One of the things I like to shoot a lot of, just haven't got round to doing it for a while.

how do you get the colours? is it something you put over the flash?

beautiful pics by the way

To get a more prominent colour is to create a new Hue/Saturation layer and tick the colorize box. then just move the 3 sliders until you get the desired colour.

The multi-colour effect is created by adding a bi-colour (user defined) filter layer courtesy of Nik Color Efex plugin.
You chose the colours and then decide the blend ratio and angle/direction of the blend.
Hey presto

beautiful pics by the way

Thanks!:)

Great pics,I like no1,Can i ask...what did you use for the black background?have been trying smoke art but with no success. :)

The background was a granite effect chopping board.
to be honest though, with a 1/250 shutter speed the ambient light won't record.
To make sure though I put a snoot on the flash gun so only the smoke gets lit.
