Fairly pleased with the composition on this one taken today in the rain but would like comments on how I could have improved on it.
The light wasn't brilliant.

I think you've hit the nail on the head.
The composition is nice but it's all about light.
Landscape photography IMO is 10% composition and 80% light with 10% luck thrown in.

The light wasn't with you on this one.

I find my best landscape shots are taken at sunrise or sunset with ND grads and perhaps a CP filter.
The best investment in photography I ever made was not a camera nor a lens but ND grad filters and a CP filter.

But that's just me.

I love landscapes, but I've got a long way to travel in any direction to find one without the pimps and hoes hanging round on the corner.;)

A good alarm clock is a pretty essential requirement too! :icon_eek:

cant help thinking a panoramic of this location would work really well!

Your'e right!
Swinging round to the right would have included this but didn't have the tripod as I was supposed to be working!
