I happen to have a very hairy mike muffler for windy days. the problem is/was to get it out of the way of the camcorder lens, Bit of head scratching annd looking what bits and pieces I have lying arouind and initially came up with this
But it looks a right lashup so next idea was this
now getting somewhere but when all tightened up the ball head got locked up as well . the threads fouled it. so a spacer was next . At least it is now high enough to sit onto of the camcorder and clear the lens
I had a spare one of these
So decided to use as a washer. into the workshop and drill out the centre on the bench drill and reduce the thickness on the electric grinder.
Ok now getting somewhere and the now "disc" had bare metal so a quick dip into black hammerite and leave to dry
so this is as far as I have got
. Tomorrow it should be dry enough to assemble it all and post a photo andhopefully look a bit more "professional"
ok looking better
