RAM Upgrade for my MacBook Pro

Hi guys and girls,

looking to upgrade the macbook with some more ram, spec according to Crucial is:-

# Maximum Memory Capacity: 8192MB
# Available Memory Slots: 2
# Total Memory Slots: 2
# Dual Channel Support: Yes
# CPU Manufacturer:
# CPU Family: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz
# CPU Speed: 2260 MHz

so in theory I could have up to 8gb but i'm opting for 4gb due to the cost more than anything.

Any ideas where's best to get it from as crucial are quoting £43 per stick so £86 total? anyone know anywhere I could get it cheaper?

That sounds about right, I've been looking for decent ram for my pc too and 4gb varies between £85 and £100+. Ram seems to have shot up in price this last year compared to other forms of memory which seems to have gone down for the most part.

Last time I looked for RAM play.com came up cheapest Give them a try and see how they fair

^ looking at the above, cheaper with Offtek but never used them before, should I just go with Play.com?, also will the type of RAM work on my MacBook Pro, I can see it's DDR3 which is what I need but not sure about the rest?
