Ok I did a search on this and ran out of pages before I found the answer,

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there are two versions of the
Sigma 70-200 f2.8 a Mk1 and a MK2.

Also I could be totally wrong on this and if I am then tell me to shut up and go away :bonk:

Now my question is how to tell which one you have and in the genaral scheme of the universe which is the better of the two ? :shrug:

The Mk2 says MKII on the side, that's about it I think. I had a Mk1 and looked at a mates Mk2 and really couldn't tell any difference.

Theres also the older non macro version of these, the mkII just had a few little tweaks compared to the MK I basically zip all difference.

As for the older non macro theres quite alot of difference, faster af and a shorter min focusing (1m v 1.5m)
