random question

I would have thought it would mean not published in another magazine if you are entering one where they would be printing the winners and have rights to use the shots etc?
Could also be a filter for already used shots elsewhere....

Wouldn't have thought it would be referring to posting your shot online.

Can you give more context?

I've just seen alot of competitions stating that the image must not have already been published. I'd really like to enter some more competitions (other than 2 or 3 TP comps, I've only entered 1 before) and I wanna know if not published means not put on here or flickr or my blog for example.

I have to admit, being the amateur that I am, I put my best pics up here etc.
 
I think you are more than safe sending in ones from your blog and Flickr.

Do also bear in mind that they sometimes take a few months to process so be choosy which you send to where so you don't run the risk of a shot appearing in one mag whilst beingnconsidered for a competition in another.

I'll definately let you all know if I get anywhere in any competitions. :thumbs: I wouldn't submit the same image for 2 different competitions though ;)

I have to be honest, it's not for prizes, it's for entering photos and progressing in my photography. I know I've progressed loads in the past year, but I'm still at the bottom of the steep learning curve, just a couple of rungs higher up the ladder ;)
