Rangefinder focussing - the finger waggle technique

I watched the following video this morning when it popped up on my Youtube feed and found that tip #5 is something pretty useful - a method for checking fine focus by waggling your finger over the rangefinder opening to see if there's any flicker of movement between the overlaid images. It may well be common knowledge to the filmies on here, but it's the first time I've seen it so thought I'd share.

Yet another reason why I won't get a range finder: I look like enough of a plank using LF, let along giving someone the wiggling middle finger! :D

TBH, this is just another excuse to use my rangefinder more!
 
I have gone from no rangefinders to several so I think I'll get my money's worth out of his suggestion :)
