Critique Rannoch Moor Today **Images added***

This morning I went in search of reflections. Sadly it wasn't quite mill pond still but it wasn't bad. To make it better the snow is back.

Dawn was lovely and vibrant but unfortunately misty. I much prefer cleared conditions.

The inversion looked cool from above it, I was disappointed that after after an 8 hour drive the sun was blocked by clouds. FML.

1 & 2 are rather nice, I prefer 2 for the gentle pastel tones. The black and white looks ok on it's own but against the colour it doesn't compare favourably. Lovely conditions there

No, I was falling into waist deep drifts on Beinne a' Chrulaiste.

Thanks all for commenting. I've binned that B&W. It isn't working for me.

I also don't know why I didn't see it but for me it works better as a 16:9 aspect - here's a slightly different shot - originally I binned but the way the light is falling is better. The reflection is also fuller.

_DSC0354 by Stephen Taylor, on Flickr I more or less took this exact image in Autumn last year and was keen to redo it with winter. In my minds eye it was a 3:2 but different conditions call for a different crop.

Here's the Autumn one - I think I left it 3:2 as the sky really filled the shot with texture. These winter ones were on a much clearer day.

Like the colour rather than the mono and definitely prefer the 16:9.
