Critique Rattray Head Lighthouse: Sunshine and clouds

Went up here last Monday in the search of golden light but dramatic waves. Got neither but it was an interesting, but cold afternoon up there.

I like the light best of the first, but prefer everything else about the second. Still a pair of cracking shots.

Nice work Steve. 2 for me I think, I prefer the subtle tones. Nice light in 1 but a little harsh on the whites. Not knocking either though, both very nice.

The light was really quite strong but alas that was the last of it. I had hoped basically for a bit more clouds than my first visit with more movement but with that rich, golden light you really only see in the last 30 mins of the day.

I can see why you went for the big waves, that would look ace crashing against the Lighthouse.

Its all been said already. Number two works best for me but both good shots.
