just tried to download the RAW codec from canon and it won't install because my screen res isn't high enough. According to my settings I can't go any higher either :-(
I have a cheap little acer notebook with a 2nd monitor. I can't tell you much about the 2nd monitor but when I right click for settings on the desktop it tells me that I'm at the max. which is 1024 x 600 pixels. The 2nd monitor res is 1280 x 1024 pixels. The error message I get when trying to install is:
"this software does not support screen resolutions lower than 1024 x 768"
I have the canon codec installed on my netbook. The screen is 1024 x 600 but the screen settings can be changed to 1024 x 768 to make the install program happy. You just have to scroll the screen to see all of the desktop.
hi Robert - I'm using the desktop settings to change it and the 'slider' is at the max. Is there another way to increase?
also I can't switch my notebook screen off to have just the monitor - at least when I click on monitor 2 and select 'make this the primary monitor' it switches monitor 2 off altogether
hmmmm
edit: I can't increase the screen res even if I switch off monitor 2
