RAW converter for D300?

Hi folks.
My D70 work flow was RSE (original free download) for basic RAW adjustment & convert to jpeg or tiff, then PicProject for cropping, Red eye, sharpening & finished.

Old RSE no does not recognise D300 RAW files. :shake:
Neither does PicProject. :nono:
NXView is either useless of just playing yp on Vista.
RawTherapee not yet spec'ed for D300. :shrug:
Trying to avoid having to buy CaptureNX or CS.... :bang:

Any suggestions for new workflow downloadable freebies that work?

Recommendations much appreciated.

my D300 came with a full version of Capture NX in the box. The first batch of D300's had this as a freebie. I only bought mine a couple of weeks ago so there should be ones still around with this.

Unfortunately mine only came with "free trail for 30 days" version. Hence trying to avoid having to lash out another >£100 in a month month.
That'll be last resort.
BTW... does CaptureNX do "everything" you need to pp your pic's. I don't mean to photoshop style/ level, but certainly the basic's.
