I have a problem I have just got a nikon D90, which is great, but when I download raw files to photoshop CS2 theywill not open and I have Photo Elements 6 same problem.
My D40 files work Ok. Off I shot to adobe and download updates and when I try to open the file it will not let me. I even downloaded 3 others that said it would work with D90 still the same
I must be doing something wrong but can't see what can any one shed some light on this for me or have the had the same problems

Because your camera is newer than CS2 it is not supported. My advice would be to get the Adobe DNG convertor (free) and convert the images to DNG then take the DNGs into CS2.
 
You should be able to get an update to ACR for Elements 6 from the Adobe website, however I believe this will not work with PhotoShop CS2 though. You will need to upgrade to CS4 for this version of ACR to work.
 
Thanks for your help, I finaly had to uninstall Elements as it took over the computer every icon I clicked on would open elements what i did I don't know but I will show you how many downloads I have done from Adobe and still I can't open D90 raw pics.

This should be the one you need to convert your D90 NEFs into DNGs for use with other Adobe software.
