RAW files...

Right, I think I'm going to sound really silly... but how do I actually open a raw file for editing? I have a Nikon D80 and Photoshop CS2... So yeah, what do I do?

When I try to open it in Photoshop it says the file type isn't compatible...

Help? Thanks

You will need to download Adobe Camera Raw plugin to update your photoshop

I'm sure someone will correct me as I'm not 100% but I think you may have to download a update file that allows CS2 to open your RAW images.

I had the same prob with CS2 but used it as a excuse to upgrade to CS3!

The D80 is supported by CS2 provided you have the latest update 3.7 for ACR (camera raw) you should be able to find this at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3582 Wayne

You are correct, I had to do this to open raw files from my d40!
