hi people,
does anyone know how i open the CR2 pics in photoshop, keeps saying its not the right document? :bang:
 
The most lightly cause is you don't have the latest update for camera raw (ACR) depending on which version of photoshop you have you'll eiter have to download and install the latest update, buy a newer version of PS, or download the latest version of DNG converter (also from adobe) this converts your raw files to dng, which all versions of photoshop from CS onwards should be able to open. It was saying that on mine.
I was using cs3.
So i got rid of that and downloaded trial cs4 and it still does it sometimes?
Any ideas why?
 
It depends on what camera you have, the newer the camera, the newer version of ACR you need, Cs4 ships with version 5.0, but the latest version is 5.2, if you have a 5d2 or something equally recent you'll have to install the 5.2 update to open the RAW from that.
Or use the DNG converter, again you will need the latest version. Wayne
