RAW to one card (CF) and JPEG to the other (SD) simultaneously

Hope this a simple question although I suspect I know the answer.....

Obviously I can capture RAW & JPEG at the same time filling one card and then spilling over to the other but is it possible to 'split' them from the start so the RAW writes to one card and the JPEG to the other ?

I know it sounds trivial and without waffling too much - it would be handy to pop out a card (on site) containing small JPEG for somebody else but retain the full RAW myself.

Apologies for the question - I don't have the manual and my pdf version is hanging the PC.

I'm sure from memory I've done this on some 1D/D3 but unsure about a 1D 2.

On the MkIII it's the second item down under Settings Menu* ie the first yellow spanner.

The choices are

Standard
Auto Switch
Rec Separately
Rec to Multiple

According to a couple of comments online the MkIIN can do it, but not the MkII.
 
The manual seems to indicate the second slot is for back-up only so you'll get all images duplicated on both cards.

Select spanners 1, roll down to backup and select slot 1 or 2 or off (for 1DMk2)

Seems to be the case.

Use one, then the other, or both together as exact duplicates seems to be my option.
 
the 1d mk2n was the first one to allow raws to one jpegs to the other,...
took me ages how to change which card to be used on my mk2.
i generally just use the CF then switching over when that is full. or if it is important shoot then i use the duplicate option just incase, so i have straight away i have 2 copies :D

It's rare I'm doing anything that I feel I need to write a complete duplicate 'back up' card but splitting the RAW/JPEG would have been handy.
 
when shooting both in dpp i set it up just to show me the raw files instead of both or if i can be bothered go to the folder (once its downloaded) sort view to 'type' then create a subfolder to seperate them.
