I family member found this whilst clearing her loft the other day. I Googled and searched for Raynox 200mm f/3.5 etc and it just comes up with projector lenses, but none are the same as this? Also, and excuse my ignorance, I cant work out why a projector lens would have an adjustable aperture (unless its to do with focus distance / projector distance to the screen?). Her and everyone who lived in that house for the last 30 years have never owned a projector, but have had old film Nikons! She has no idea where it came from.

Any ideas?

BTW the brand name is just a merchant's name, for example Dixons used to sell lenses with their own brand names, made elsewhere. The diamond above the aperture ring and the screw layout on the rear indicates that it was probably a Cimko made lens. You can check at mflenses.com :)
 
Would it be worth me getting an m42 adaptor for this? A 200mm prime might be useful :)
 
Cool, ordered! Now to clean this one up a bit before I attach it!
 
Adaptor arrived today so I took it out for a few test shots. The first thing that struck me was the MFD - about 5 metres! Some of the shots came out ok actually, there is a very old school feel to the images it produces, but that may be a bit of a placebo using such an old school lens and manually doing everything!

Any focusing issues etc are all my issues. Bad CA as expected with a non APO lens but easily corrected. Still, not sure I'd ever use this lens for anything other than nostalgia.
