Raynox dcr-250 how to use??

Hi I put a post up a few days ago asked about macro lenses after getting some advice I broughta raynox dcr-250 I'd love some advice on how to use n get the best from it everything's blurry when I try n use it lol.thanks

Camera-d3100 nikon.

Lenses-nikon af-s 18-55mm n the nikon af-s 55-200mm.

I'm a right noob.

I use manual focus, ISO 100, f14-f16, shutter speed 1/250s ( for flash use ) then creep forward and rock back and forth until the subject is in focus.

It's quite tricky to start with but you'll get used to it

What I did with mine was advertise it in the classifieds and sell it. I couldn't do it for love nor money but some of Damians examples are stunning so it's worth sticking with it!!

It's tricky for sure, last week I took 230 photos, I got maybe 5% in focus but yesterday I got much better results. Heed the advice here.

Are the lenses I got good to go with the raynox??

Take the 55-200 pop the raynox on the end and practice with something on a table. Try a match or something small. Like what has been said, find it and very slightly Rock back and forth . Practice, practice practice.
