I'm really considering getting on of these for £40 for a bit of macro, and if I don't like it I won't feel like I have lost a large amount of money like I would if I go for a Marco lens!

I'm trying to get the idea about how much it actually zooms in, and want to see 2 pictures one without the 250 attached and one with it attached so I can see the difference. I have not found a photo like this so far. Can anyone possibly upload 2 photos of a with and without, or a link so I can see the difference.
Had a look online and can't see anything to show this so hopefully one of you can help :thumbs:

You don't see many useful comparisons like that because it depends which lens you put it on - focal length and minimum focusing distance.

With most popular 50-200ish zooms you'll get down to 1:1 or thereabouts, which is pretty damn close.
 
The Raynox is supurb. I getfantastic results with this on my 50mm and 55-250.

Unfortunately I'm on my phone so can't upload any example pics but will do when I get back to my PC.
 
mine is on order...arrival is monday :), although maybe tomorrow if im very lucky!
 
You'll love it once you get the hang of it.

I managed to get some great shots with mine (By my standards) and it gave me a chance to see if I wanted to buy a macro lens.
 
oh i have just bought one as well :). I love bugs and slugs and butterflies ....
 
Got home, opened it up, and then the sky also opened up and its rain! I'll have to wait until tomorrow!
