had a thought about doing some macro work so my thoughts went towards

Raynox DCR 250 to go on my Nikon 24-70mm lens.

that lens has a 77mm thread and this is what I found on the Raynox site

Quote"The lens includes a snap-on universal mount suitable for 52mm to 67mm filter size." unquote

There are so many lenses out there with a 77mm thread I can't understand why Raynox don't accommodate that size.

So if your thinking about getting one check your lens size first

See if you can get a 77-43 step DOWN adapter. You can use the Raynox lens without the universl adapter then.
Not sure if they are readily available though.

just get a step down adapter, or make a a hole in bit of paper 43mm ish, see if that vinyets at tele end.

Similar in principle, but not the same. Marumi do two versions of their Achromat Macro attachment, +3 and +5 diopters. Raynox DCR-150 is +4.8 and DCR-250 is +8, and the higher the diopters, the greater the magnification.

Raynox is also an optical triplet design, for better quality.
